Objectives of the Project

• Prepare baseline data through surveys of NTFPs including Chilgoza
• Collect indigenous knowledge of communities about NTFPs
• Digitize and prepare maps of NTFPs using global positioning system coordinates
• Conserve In-situ and Ex-situ and develop propagation modules for major medicinal plants, mulberry and silkworm germplasm
• Survey drug markets and develop marketing mechanism for NTFPs and Chilgoza
• Preparing value added products based on NTFPs and Chilgoza and their demonstration
• Prepare data in digital form and uploading though web site hosting
• Capacity building of different NTFPs stakeholders
